recently watched magnificent 7
it's a western about a group of 7 men who took it upon themselves to defend and save a town of oppressed peoples.
the main villain was this dude who just rocked up to town and decided that he wanted the town, buying it up and shooting whoever stands in his way.
it made me think about why people love consuming media like this, playing games like ghost of tsushima etc, watching star wars, and yet support a genocidal nation irl.
are we hypocrites?we should do what we can, what is within our power to help the oppressed.
this isn't any form of pretending or larping to be nice, it's just there is no way to redeem israel as a nation anymore after witnessing those atrocities. they're all over my feed, on youtube, on instagram, i've teared up enough over their plight.
donate if you can, share their plight with someone who may be ignorant but may be open to learning about it.
i hope i live long enough to see peace in that region.
