I FINALLY DID IT
I PROPOSED!
i proposed to my girl at the ocean restaurant. it's pretty cute, we got to watch the fish swim by as we enjoyed a 4 course fine dining meal together
she shed a couple tears ahahaha i almost did, too
honestly it's been a long time coming.
i knew it'll be her. i've known it for a while.
one time in the morning with the sunlight streaming through my curtains i was on the pc while she was still sleeping.
unexpectedly i felt her arms embracing me and her head resting on my right shoulder
she asked me that morning "will you marry me?". and i said "maybe" but i knew it was a yes.
that memory is my favourite of our time together.
she asked me a few times in the beginning of our relationship
and everytime i said "maybe"
i didn't know i was already hopelessly in love, but i was.
it's just that i was too proud and too afraid to admit that someone else has such a power over me that anything they do affects me in any significant way.
many times, i've let myself be hopelessly in love with someone and every single time i end up being the clown hahaha
so when we started dating i was very wary
but that's no way to live. that's no way to love someone.
over time my defenses and wariness towards her softened. and i swear it's like everyday i wake up with renewed tenacity in my love for her
i love her fiercely everyday.

in 2020 we played animal crossing a lot
we went on digital dates xD
one time when i logged in i noticed i had mail and found a letter she sent me
it had an attachment which was a diamond ring and a letter that said "will you marry me?"
oh god i fell for her so bad HAHA
I LOVE HER!!!

it was a great once in a lifetime experience, having my girl by my side and proposing to her
i have a feeling despite her insistence on not doing anything romantic, she actually loves cheesy romance
it's also why i buy her flowers although she says she doesn't want them
cos her eyes light up everytime i get her flowers
