recently i've been really hateful
towards illegal migrants, in malaysia
like really hateful.
and yeah sure some of them are beggars that spit at you if you donate too little, crooks, and in general just unpleasant and dangerous.
some of them are taking over lands that do not belong to them and demanding welfare
so yes they need to go
but a lot of them just want to survive.
broski a lot of them are just kids too.
do i like them? no. do i want them out? yeah. but do they deserve a chance to survive, maybe even integrate and thrive? yes definitely.
it's too much
these videos i see online of malaysians harassing kids, trashing a rohingyan's place of business (yeah illegal but still, you can just shut it down instead of trashing it), taking away their drinking water, beating them up.
it's too much. and i know it can get worse. just one rohingyan or malaysian to cross the line and that's it.
next thing you know a racial riot begins and refugees are being hunted like animals. dramatic, but we've seen the region get into racial riots before.
what are their options, anyway
truth be told, they don't have anywhere to go either.
back home, they're living in encampments or being killed.
no other country wants them, hell malaysia never accepted to having refugees, they just waltzed in.
they are rohingyans so no one wants to hire them, they can't have jobs (refugee status)
they cannot open businesses.
so what is there to do?
is this malaysia's problem to deal with?
it's a hard place to be. there's no real happy ending to this, because i truly believe they cannot integrate, therefore can never be accepted.
i think people who cannot be integrated must be swiftly kicked out.
but that doesn't mean we treat them like subhumans.
idk. just a rant.
