my side quest now

i've finally got the chance to do whatever i want again.

side questing time.

so this month apart from my skateboarding side quest i've decided to complete my mecha model side quest. (i'll talk about skating another time)

and the mecha model kit i made this time was the SNAA Iron Sickle (though it says Iron Sickie on the box due to a typo)

i'm not a big gundam fan so the mecha model kits i like are the ones that arent gundam related.

for example 30 minute-fantasy/mission/sisters, megami device, and SNAA.

what is SNAA

SNAA is a chinese based brand of mecha model kits. the Iron Sickle is "Beyond Exquisite"(?) model, which is akin to gunpla's "Real Grade" models.

it has a skeleton inside and an armor it can put on.

here's the thing though - it costs only $15!!! (SINGAPOREAN DOLLARS)

what a steal.

the quality on this is amazing, the level of detail is way above what you'd expect from a sub $20 kit.

it's worth every penny. i can't wait to build another but i do have to figure out where to put them.

iron sickle halfway being built:

iron sickle with no armor on legs

completed iron sickle:

completed SNAA full armor

there are people who paint them

and it looks FUCKING COOL!!! here's one:

painted SNAA front painted SNAA back

you can see the original instagram image here

i love mecha model kits

the only downside is that once you build them you gotta find a place to show them and i don't have infinite space.

the fun part is building them so selling a completed piece makes no sense either. so idk.
