going to simlim tower

went to sim lim square tower, away from the crowds, since today's national day! (happy bday singapore)

unfortunately most stores were closed due to the public holiday but there were a few electronic stores still open.

i went to buy a small electronic toy that i guess beginners can assemble and start learning how to mess around with electronics

here's a pic

a circuit board for a game a game by future kit

it's pretty cool.

i don't know anything about electronics, though i have studied a little about electrical facilities for my diploma.

maybe some knowledge can still be applied

i'm gna try to set this up, then maybe start working on harder and harder things

eventually if i can build a robot that'll be sick

gift for my sister

bought a keyboard for anna too.

i went to sim lim square to search for keyboards and they were all around $180-$350.

that's too much for a simple peripheral device

i get that mechanical keyboards are fancy, and i do own one but they ARE NOT worth that much

luckily i found one on sale for 40% off at a game store, and i paid $60 for a super nice mechanical keyboard with black switches (she wanted black switches)

also i saw an iphone 6s on sale for $30 that's crazy, right?

singapore's little electric town

the sim lim buildings aren't as cool as akihabara's electric town, but it's still pretty cool.

sim lim square has more computer parts

sim lim tower is more for electronic / electrical parts

i think sim lim tower is cooler just cos there are a lot of tinkerers there

you can see people patronising the shops looking for parts for their next electronic project, robotics or RC or whatever else.

my wish list

things i wna build.

things i wna buy

here's to more tinkering! i can't wait.

it'sa me!,
