something to do

23/11/24

designed my shop

decided to call it fool's arcana.

i'm thinking of hosting it on digital ocean, and building the entire shop, so that it's tailor-made to how i want it and how i want to use and update it.

i don't have the money to spend $40 a month to run a shopify store that may or may not take off, ykwim?

i'm thinking my store will also follow the same "small web" kinda vibe, and have a webring, a guestbook, a chatroom, etc :D

the website is selling grunge style clothes which should give a very 2000s hot-topic kinda vibe

fingers crossed!

also, my gf said i don't need a uen to use stripe so i am looking forward to launching in 2 weeks or so xD

i suspect the biggest issue in building my own site will be the auth, and the description box

i should use wsyiwig for the desc box input

in any case, i am excited

EDIT

chxshire22 from the future here.

decided to just host the ecommerce site here using stripe's no-code "buy now" link

today is a lazy day

i just stayed in bed all day :D

spent all day watching tiktok w my girl

good times

rained all day and i didn't care

i'm gna go home and design the components in next js first while laying in bed again

getting familiar w nvim again

it's been a while since i've used nvim

it used to be my fav editor, and i built my first config from scratch and watching what other people put in theirs

but sometimes i go back to vsc since it's easier

honestly when rest apis are part of the workflow it's hard to part with thunderclient, it is such an intuitive UI

maybe i should build a tui for rest client

in any case, i'm back in nvim and i'm loving it. just that there are so many keybindings that i forget what's what.

sleepily,
