i've finally gotten around to starting to learn this
i bought this kit for around SGD 30 off aliexpress (incl shipping)
it has an arduino uno r3 and a a bunch of sensors, breadboards, resistors, and jumper wires
i'm following this really cool teacher on youtube, let me embed the first lesson of the arduino series here
ive gotten around to learning how semi conductor works, which helps me understand how LED works
im just messing with LEDs for now
at this moment this is the most that i can do right now - or have done
here's a set of 3 LEDs blinking the SOS morse code :D
im not sure yet where to go from here
think i'll finish the tutorial by Paul McWhorter first and then move on to just tinkering with random things
i will probably go grab a bunch of breadboards and harvest a bunch of components from the junk and see what i can make.
i've always wanted to make a radio. so maybe that. and a clock maybe. maybe a clock radio?
learning electronics has been a long standing interest of mine and i'm happy i got around to doing it
i remember in electronix i mentioned a bunch of stuff i wanted to make.
seems like the radio is at the top of the list.
an electronic music box - maybe i can make a simple thing that plays a tune i can program with a piezo buzzer
cyberdeck
i think the big overarching goal is to build a cyberdeck.
i was chatting about this with poyo.
i guess the cyberdeck having a GPS and a radio module is a must, to ensure that in doomsday scenarios i can tell where i am and what's going on. the radio should also be able to transmit signals.
having a simple image recognition software can help too, to help identify things.
and an offline wiki, and some open source info on self-preservation.
these things can be worked out over time.
i got to figure out how to be somewhat at a hobbyist level for electronics first
